Special Programmes

Many of the special programmes listed in the previous pages offer outstanding students scholarship opportunities.

For students who are not enrolled in the special programmes, fear not. There are other scholarships available.

MOE Pre-University Scholarships

The MOE Pre-University Scholarships are offered by the Ministry of Education to top students who have achieved outstanding academic results and excelled in cocurricular and other activities.

Edusave (Independent Schools) Yearly Awards

The Edusave (Independent Schools) Yearly Awards [E(IS)YA] are available for students admitted to an independent schools or junior colleges charging independent school fees.

Students must be Singapore citizens and within the top 5% of each cohort by level in each school, based on examination results for the year.

These awards are offered to encourage and reward students who have excelled academically as well as obtained a good grade for conduct in that year. The award quantum will be $2,400 or the annual school fees, which ever is less.

Edusave Scholarships in Junior Colleges

Three schemes funded by Edusave are available for students enrolled at the JC1 level. The schemes are Edusave Entrance Scholarships for Independent Schools (EESIS), Edusave Scholarships for Integrated Programme Schools (ESIP), and Edusave (Independent Schools) Yearly Awards [E(IS)YA].

Only Singapore Citizens who meet the necessary criteria will be considered for the scholarships.

Edusave Entrance Scholarships for Independent Schools

Recipients of the the scholarship at Secondary Level will be offered an extension if they are admitted to an IS/IJC.

Edusave Scholarships for Integrated Programmme Schools

Students who were not awarded the scholarship at Secondary Level and admitted to IS/IJC offering IP, may be eligible for an alternative Edusave scholarship – the Edusave Scholarships for Integrated Programmme Schools.
